Ballie Ballerson - Soho
Ballie Ballerson has taken the ball pool concept and turbo-charged it to create a fun-filled adult playground, complete with over one million balls. As well as running their own events, the Shoreditch venue is a regularly booked for birthdays, stag, hen and team building parties.
We first connected with the Ballie Ballerson team back in 2017, when they asked us to provide a sound system for their ball pit cocktail bar float at London Pride. The Funktion-One Evo 6 setup ensured the roaming ball pool had one of the highest performing sound systems at the festival.
When they moved into the East London address to establish the world’s biggest permanent ball pool, there was an existing Funktion-One sound system and some rundown amps. We were able to refurbish the speakers, replace the old amps with new Linea Research products and have continued to maintain the system there ever since.
In 2019, Ballie Ballerson opened a new 6,000 square feet venue in Soho and we were asked to supply the Funktion-One sound systems. With the launch only two weeks away, we had to work quickly to specify the sound systems and complete the installation in time for opening night.
Here, there’s a dancefloor system featuring a four-point configuration of F1201s with a monoblock of B218 bass reflex speakers, as well as bar area, lounge and additional ball pit systems featuring F81s, F101s and BR115s.
Ballie Ballerson’s George Armstrong said: “Sova Audio acted quickly to meet our requests and, at the same time, offer high quality products and solutions helps us to meet the standards we set for the business. With the style of our venues, it’s extremely important to have reliable technology and support on hand when it’s required. With George and the Sova team, we have both of those things.”
